The Speaker believed Sen. Panfilo Lacson still has a ‘hangover’ from what went on in previous congresses.
Congressmen demand Sen. Panfilo Lacson to apologize when he claimed there is ‘pork’ in the House-approved 2020 budget. Lacson, instead, said the congressmen who used pork money in the past should be the ones to apologize to the Filipino people.
Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon questioned the legality of the creation of the forensic unit of the Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) calling the unit a “waste of money”.
“The initial report we received, each Deputy Speaker, 22 of them, will be receiving an additional allocation of P1.5B, easily that’s P33B. Each congressman will be given an allocation of P700M. When we are talking of P700M per congressman, times 300, that’s P21B plus P33B per deputy speaker kung matutuloy na P54B in pork.” Lacson said.
