The Philippine Atmospheric and Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said strong winds and heavy rains by  incoming typhoon Kammuri might affect the 30th Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) sports sites.

While it is still outside the country, Kammuri is heading towards south of Luzon and is expected to enter the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) between Saturday evening and Sunday morning.

Kammuri will be locally called “Tisoy” when it enters PAR, the 20th tropical cyclone this year.

December 3 and 4 have been described as “critical days” as the typhoon crosses southern Luzon, bared weatherman Raymond Ordinario.

Currently, it is packing maximum sustained winds of 120 kilometers per hour near the center and has gustiness of up to 150 kilometers per hour.

The inaugural ceremony of the regional sports events will be held on November 30 at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan.  Sporting events will be held in Cavite, Batangas, Laguna, Pampanga, Zambales, Tarlac, and Metro Manila. (Jojo Mangahis)
