The Department of Health (DOH) said the additional P888.12 million budget released by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) will be allocated for the special risk allowances of (SRA) of 97,560 medical workers.
While the ban has been repealed, Roque said the country would only allow 5,000 “new hires” to be deployed every year.
“Nakinig naman po ang presidente sa hinaing ng mga nurses, so iyong mga mayroon nang mga papeles at kumpletong documentation as of Aug. 31, 2020, pinayagan na po ni presidente na makaalis para sa kanilang trabaho abroad,” Palace spokesman Harry Roque said in an online briefing.
“Iyong mga health professinals na mayroon na pong mga papeles, ibig sabihin iyong overseas employment certificate na issued ng POEA (Philippine Overseas Employment Administration) at iyong employment contract na verified as of March 8, 2020 ay pupuwede pong lumabas ng bansa,” Palace spokesman Harry Roque said in a televised address.
