A group of doctors in Negros Oriental has called on authorities to place the province under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) following multiple surges of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) infections in the past few weeks.
A group of doctors on Saturday appealed to the Duterte administration to place Metro Manila and nearby regions under the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) for two weeks, to prevent the healthcare system from collapsing due to a surge in Covid-19 cases.
President Rodrigo Duterte on Wednesday announced that from July 1 to July 15, Cebu City would remain under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ), while Metro Manila would stay under general community quarantine (GCQ).
