President Rodrigo Duterte on Wednesday announced that from July 1 to July 15, Cebu City would remain under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ), while Metro Manila would stay under general community quarantine (GCQ).
Duterte in a televised address said Manileños have been “substantially compliant” with health and quarantine protocols, while Cebuanos were mostly complacent.
“Cebu is the new hotspot for Covid-19… [M]arami sa inyo (Cebuanos) ang hindi sumusunod,” he said.
