“Gusto ko lang sabihin in one straight statement: Either you resolve the issue sa impasse ninyo diyan and pass the budget, legally and constitutionally, kapag hindi ninyo ginawa, ako ang gagawa para sa inyo,” Duterte said.
House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano is calling for a congressional hearing of social networking site Facebook’s deactivation of pages supportive of the administration but which the social media giant found violating their policy against inauthentic behavior and spamming.
“Ewan ko kung sabihin ko ito sa inyo. I offered to resign as President. Pinatawag ko ‘yung lahat ng [tao ko], sabi ko na I have [to resign] kasi nagsasawa na ako,” Duterte said.
“As the Duterte administration remains committed in the promotion and upholding of accountability and transparency, especially on public expenditure, a monthly report will be duly submitted to the Congress until December 2020,” Palace communications chief Martin Andanar said in a statement.
The assertion came after a survey by the Social Weather Stations (SWS), released on Friday, showed that 51 percent of adult Filipinos agreed that critical reporting under Duterte’s administration was “dangerous.”
