The Philippines posted a total of 1,682 new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infections from June 6-12, the Department of Health (DOH) said.
The country’s daily average stood at 240 infections — a 30.4% increase from the previous week.
Among the new cases reported, eight are in severe and critical condition.
The country recorded five new fatalities — two of them happened between May 30 and June 12.
For the healthcare utilization rate, 20.3% of non-intensive care unit beds or 3,188, from the 15,706 beds, are occupied. Moreover, 16.6% or 345 ICU beds out of 2,078 are in use.
The health department added that 498 patients with severe or critical conditions were admitted in hospitals.
