Four employees of SM Supermalls in Pampanga have tested positive for Covid-19, the San Fernando City local government announced on May 20.

SM Supermalls conducted rapid testing of its employees last May 19, three days after Pampanga reopened its malls after shifting to general community quarantine (GCQ).

Among those who tested positive, two were SM Telebastagan workers, while SM San Fernando and SM City Downtown had one positive case each.

The SM San Fernando employee tested positive for IgM (immunoglobolin), the antibody the body produces after making contact with the coronavirus.

The other three were asymptomatic.

However, the city reminded its citizens not to panic as the workers were immediately isolated.
