Veteran journalist Manny Mogato said Youtube’s move to terminate Apollo Quiboloy’s Youtube channel was just a small step to combat disinformation.
In Saturday’s episode of The Press Room, Pulitzer Prize winner Manny Mogato said YouTube’s move was a “company decision” and could not be questioned.
“Quiboloy can be taken as someone who had his freedom of expression taken away from him at first glance,” he said
“However, YouTube’s removal of Quiboloy’s channel is the company’s decision as they do not allow those who have withstanding cases to have a platform,” he added.
Quiboloy is on the most wanted list of the FBI in the United States over trafficking activities.
His channel had more than 47,000 subscribers before it was terminated by YouTube on June 21 when a gaming YouTuber flagged it on Twitter.
