The Philippines on Saturday received 1,746,160 doses of the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine from the British government.
The shipment completed Britain’s donation of 5,225,200 AstraZeneca jabs to Manila.
The first batch of 3,191,040 doses arrived on Thursday, while the second batch of 288,000 doses was delivered to Manila on Friday.
The Philippines has received 141,606,240 Covid-19 vaccine doses since February.
More than 81 million of these doses have been deployed, according to government data.
The National Task Force Against Covid-19 said the AstraZeneca doses would be used during the three-day national vaccination drive from Nov. 29 to Dec. 1.
The Philippines has 35,557,409 fully vaccinated individuals as of Nov. 27. John Ezekiel J. Hirro
