The Department of Transportation (DoTr) said travelers from Metro Manila and all of the cities included within the ‘NCR Plus Bubble’ can rebook without charges for their trips that got canceled due to travel restrictions imposed to curb the sudden rise in Covid-19 cases.

Transportation Undersecretary Artemio Tuazon said during a virtual briefing that the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) and Maritime Industry Authority (Marina) released orders giving travelers with affected trips due to the bubble policy free rebooking charges.

Under the NCR Plus bubble, residents of Metro Manila and adjacent provinces Bulacan, Cavite, Rizal, and Laguna are prohibited from going outside the border unless the said trip will be essential, including for those who are going to their workplace.

Areas within the bubble will also experience an adjusted curfew hours from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. DOTr also said residents inside the bubble can visit co-neighbors within the bubble as long as health protocols will be enforced, such as wearing of face mask and face shield.

“Magandang balita lang po sa ating mga mamamayan na nakanselahan ng booking dahil sa pinahigpit na mga alituntunin sa NCR Plus bubble, pwede silang mag-rebook nang libre at puwede rin silang mag-refund ng kanilang mga nabayaran sa mga airlines at shipping companies,” Tuazon said. Ronald dela Cruz
