Taguig will grant families not covered by the national government’s social amelioration scheme P4,000 each in financial assistance, Mayor Lino Cayetano announced on Friday.
Cayetano said the city council had passed a P2-billion supplemental budget as part of the local government’s Covid-19 response. Half of the amount will be used for the cash grants while the other half will be for other programs, he said.
