After finally admitting that there is no scientific evidence to prove that they prevent the spread of the coronavirus, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) has lifted the mandatory usage of plastic barriers for separating passengers inside public utility vehicles (PUVs).
In a homily on Wednesday, Arguelles said the wearing of face masks was unnecessary as long as people loved each other and made good deeds.
“Ang pagsuot ng face shield, required na rin sa supermarkets, public markets, malls at venues ng government-initiated meetings at mga lugar kung saan isinasagawa ang mga mahahalagang serbisyo ng pamahalaan,” Palace spokesman Harry Roque said.
Malacañang on Wednesday announced transition protocols for Metro Manila, Bulacan, Laguna, Cavite and Rizal as they revert to the less strict general community quarantine from Aug. 19 to 31.
