The Department of Health (DOH) said that around one million doses of donated bivalent vaccines against Covid-19 are set to arrive by the end of March.
Some 3.6 million expired Covid-19 vaccine doses will be replaced by the COVAX facility without additional cost, Health Secretary Francisco Duque III said.
The Philippines on Monday night received 561,600 Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine doses, which were donations of the US government.
In February, the US government announced a total planned contribution of $4 billion (P194.4 billion) to the Covax Advance Market Commitment.
