Jose Arturo Tugade has been appointed as the acting general manager of the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), the Office of the Press Secretary said.

Jose Arturo, the son of former Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade, was appointed by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to replace Cesar Chiong.

Tugade will manage the Ninoy Aquino International Airport and serve as the chief executive officer and a member of the Board of Directors of MIAA.

His father was the transportation secretary of former President Rodrigo Duterte. — Ronald Espartinez
