Only 98 or 16% out of the 610 individuals remain under investigation (PUIs) for possible coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) infection, according to the Department of Health (DOH).

509 suspected cases of the disease have already been cleared and discharged from hospitals.

Of the total remaining cases, Metro Manila posted the highest number of confined PUIs at 85. Other cases were reported in the Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Calabarzon, Central Luzon, Central Visayas,  Northern Mindanao, and Soccsksargen.

The three confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the country were no longer confined in the hospital as two of three have already been cleared while the other died.

Meanwhile, 80 Filipinos tested positive for the virus in Japan, two in the United Arab Emirates, while Hong Kong and Singapore both posted one case each.  (RJ Espartinez)
