In spite of the recent shootout in Quezon City between agents of the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), the two law enforcement agencies teamed up to burn marijuana plants estimated at P8-million in Tingalayan, Kalinga last Thursday.
The marijuana plants were being grown in five sites in Barangay Loccong.
The team-up operation successfully destroyed 21,600 marijuana plants, 30 dried marijuana stalks, and a kilo of marijuana seeds.
