The Philippines reported Wednesday 6,895 new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).
This brings the nationwide count to 1,020,495.
According to the Department of Health (DOH), five Covid-19 laboratories failed to submit their daily report on time.
The country’s active Covid-19 infections stand at 67,769; 94.9% are mild, 1.6% are asymptomatic, 1.4% are severe, and 1.1% are in critical cases.
Meanwhile, the country’s recovery rate climbed to 935,695 with 10,739 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness.
Death toll, on the other hand, inches to 17,031 with 115 new fatalities.
The DOH also confirmed that it successfully removed 18 duplicate cases from the nationwide tally, while 59 cases previously declared as recoveries were reclassified as deaths after verification. Ronald dela Cruz
