The Philippines tallied 6,637 new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases Thursday.
According to the Department of Health (DOH), this brings the nationwide caseload to 1,339,457.
The Health Department said5 laboratories failed to submit their daily reports on time.
The country’s active Covid-19 cases slightly rose to 58,407; 91.8% are mild, 3.8% are asymptomatic, 1.8% are severe, and 1.3% are critical.
Meanwhile, the country’s recovery rate climbed to 1,257,774 with 4,585 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness.
Death toll, on the other hand, inches to 23,276 with 155 new fatalities.
The DOH also confirmed that it successfully removed 12 duplicate cases from the nationwide tally, while 107 cases previously declared as recoveries were reclassified as deaths after verification. Ronald Espartinez
