The Philippines’ coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) tally leaped to 429,864 after the Department of Health (DOH) announced on Sunday 2,076 new cases.

Majority of the new cases came from Quezon City at 137; followed by Laguna with 122; Cavite with 103; Batangas with 96; and Angeles City with 79.

Currently, 22,867 active Covid-19 cases are undertaking medical quarantine: 82.9% are mild, 7.4% are asymptomatic, while 6.1% are critical and 0.34% are moderate.

The country’s recovery rate increased to 398,624 with 10,579 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness.

 

 

 

Death toll stands at 8,373 with 40 new fatalities.
