The Philippines reported 975 new Covid-19 infections, pushing the nationwide tally to 2,829,618.

The Department of Health (DOH) reported that three Covid-19 laboratories failed to submit their reports on time, while two more laboratories were not operational on November 23.

Currently, there are 17,796 active Covid-19 infections undergoing medical treatment and/or quarantine: 17,796 active cases, 52.7% are mild, 5.4% are asymptomatic, 14.4% are severe, and 6% are in critical condition.

Meanwhile, the country’s recovery rate increased to 2,763,947 with 1,029 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness.

Death toll, on the other hand, climbed to 47,875 with 193 new fatalities. 

The health department reported that 17 duplicates were removed from the nationwide count, while 181 previously declared as recoveries were reclassified as fatalities after validation. Ronald Espartinez
