The Philippines logged 1,206 Covid-19 infections from Jan. 23 to 29, which is lower than the 1,891 cases recorded the previous week.

According to the Department of Health’s (DOH) weekly report, the total cases translated to a daily average of 172—which is 36 percent lower than the recorded daily average the previous week, which was 270.

The DOH also reported 74 fatalities. Currently, there are 65,767 deaths as of Jan. 29, based on the Covid-19 tracker.

The Philippines has already vaccinated 73,834,420 or 94.54 percent of target people against Covid-19.
