AP Bren claims their second championship trophy following their victory at the Mobile Legend’s World Championship M5 held at Rizal Memorial Coliseum on Dec. 17. MPL PHILIPPINES
After a close 3-3 score before the final game, AP Bren seized the M5 World Championship of Mobile Legends Bang Bang (MLBB), securing the country’s fourth victory and making them the first team to ever claim the championship twice.
Surpassing 14 teams to secure a spot in the grand finals, AP Bren engaged in a nail-biting battle against Onic Esports of Indonesia, dominating the early four matches and securing three wins.
However, Onic fought back, claiming victory in games two, five, and six, setting the stage for a thrilling climax of Game Seven.
In the end, AP Bren secured the title, marking a back-to-back victory for the Philippines, following the victorious step of Echo Esports last year.
This year’s victory for AP Bren is another milestone as it marked their second championship title after M2 in Singapore, with David Charles “FlapTzy” Canon as the finals MVP.
As the esports community in Manila takes a moment to breathe, the attention shifts to Malaysia— the birthplace of the M-series, as it gears up to host next year M6.
