The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) logged 42,131 outbound passengers and 40,027 inbound passengers across all ports in the country on Monday.

The PCG advisory said that passengers were inspected from 223 vessels and 423 motor bancas from 6 a.m. to 12 noon.

The PCG said it deployed 1,961 frontline personnel in all ports.

The coast guard added that the public should coordinate with them through the Coast Guard Public Affairs (0927-560-7729) regarding sea travel protocols and regulations during the Holiday season.

Earlier, the PCG had placed its districts, stations, and sub-stations on “heightened alert” to manage the arrivals of passengers due to the holidays from Dec. 15 to Jan. 7, 2023.
