Palace spokesman Harry Roque said Duterte was quick to send his best wishes to Trump as they were friends.
“Alam ninyo po malapit na magkaibigan ang ating presidente at si President Trump at ang mensahe po ng presidente, he wishes President Trump and his wife, First Lady Melania a full and speedy recovery,” Roque said in a press briefing.
Trump, 74, announced his positive test via Twitter on Oct. 2.

Trump was reportedly given antibodies and steroids and put on a five-day Remdesivir regimen.
