The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has recorded a total of 2,085,142 voter registrations as of Jan. 28 for the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) elections.
Voter registration ends on Jan. 31.
The Comelec said the regular registrations were recorded from Dec. 12 to Jan. 28, while the Comelec Register Anywhere Program (RAP) registrations reported 8,651 registrations.
The RAP allows Filipinos to register in places other than their residence.
Among the new registrations, 1,248,607 were newly-registered voters, while the rest were either transfers in location, reactivation, or reinstatement of name in the voters’ list.
