The Philippines has received over 2.1 million doses of Pfizer-BioNTech, AstraZeneca and Sputnik V Covid-19 vaccines.

Some 698,600 AstraZeneca doses arrived in Manila on Friday morning.

According to the National Task Force (NTF) Against Covid-19, the doses were procured by the private sector.

On Thursday, the country received 1,014,390 doses of the Pfizer vaccine and 400,000 Sputnik V jabs.

Of the latest Pfizer jabs, 813,150 doses will be used in Metro Manila and its inoculation of minors, the NTF said.

Cebu City was given 100,620 doses, while 100,620 doses were shipped to Davao City.

The Sputnik V doses will be used as first and second doses, the NTF said.

“Of this latest shipment, 200,000 each will be allocated for the first and second dose, which will be used for the inoculation of the adult population,” it said.
