Former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos remained the frontrunner in Pulse Asia’s latest presidential survey, which also saw Vice President Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo’s support increase by nine percentage points.

Marcos was the pick of 56 percent of the respondents in the Pulse Asia survey conducted from March 17 to 21. His support decreased by 4 percentage points.

Robredo saw a jump of 9 percentage points, from 15 percent in February to 24 percent in March.

It was on March 20 when more than 137,000 supporters of Robredo attended the “PasigLaban” rally, which is the biggest crowd in a campaign rally to date.

In third place was Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso, who mustered 10 percent.

Other candidates who figured in the poll were Sen. Manny Pacquiao (6 percent), Sen. Panfilo “Ping” Lacson (2 percent), Faisal Mangondato (1 percent), Ernie Abella (0.1 percent), Jose Montemayor Jr. (0.05 percent), Leody de Guzman (0.02 percent) and Norberto Gonzales (0 percent).

Three percent of the survey respondents did not state their preferred candidate.
