The “UniTeam” tandem of former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio topped OCTA Research Team’s presidential and vice presidential surveys whose results were released on Monday.
The research group’s surveys were conducted from Feb. 12 to 17. It had 1,200 respondents.
Marcos was selected by 55 percent of the respondents and had the most votes in Metro Manila (46 percent), Balance Luzon (56 percent), Visayas (47 percent) and Mindanao (65 percent).
Vice President Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo placed second overall with 15 percent and notched the second-highest number of votes in Balance Luzon (18 percent) and Visayas (24 percent).
Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso collected 11 percent of the votes. He was the No. 2 candidate in Metro Manila, mustering 33 percent of votes.
Sen. Manny Pacquiao garnered 10 percent of the votes. He had the second-most votes in Mindanao (24 percent).
Completing the Top 5 in the presidential survey was Sen. Panfilo Lacson, who received three percent of the votes.
Duterte-Carpio garnered 43 percent of votes to top the vice presidential survey. She dominated in Mindanao, mustering 82 percent of votes in her home region.
Senate President Vicente Sotto III was second with 33 percent. Sotto tied with Duterte-Carpio in Metro Manila (40 percent) and led in Balance Luzon (46 percent).
Robredo’s running-mate Sen. Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan placed third with 10 percent.
Other vice presidential candidates who received votes were Willie Ong (seven percent), Lito Atienza (one percent) and Carlos Serapio (0.1 percent).
Walden Bello, Rizalito David and Manny SD Lopez did not receive votes.
