A 4.1. magnitude quake rocked Malita town in Davao Occidental province Monday night.

According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs), the epicenter of the quake was located at 13 km Northeast of Malita, Davao Occidental.

The quake’s struck at a depth of 142 kilometers at 8:32pm.  It was tectonic in origin.

The Philvolcs said aftershocks are expected.  There were no reported damages to properties as well.

The state earthquake and volcano agency did not release any reported intensities in its quake bulletin released Monday at 8:35PM.  (Rommel F. Lopez)
