A magnitude 5.6 earthquake jolted the offshore of Sultan Kudarat Tuesday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) said.
The tectonic quake happened at 1:24 p.m.
The state seismology body said the epicenter was located at 36 kilometers northwest of the municipality of Lebak.
Intensity III was recorded in Cotabato City while Intensity II was recorded in General Santos City and Intensity I in Zamboanga City.
Phivolcs aftershocks may happen.
