The Los Angeles Lakers disposed of the Denver Nuggets, 117-107, in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals on Sunday (PH time), to reach the NBA Finals for the first time since 2010.

LeBron James put up a 38-point triple-double with 16 rebounds and 10 assists. Anthony Davis tallied 27 markers.

The Nuggets used a 33-26 third quarter to cut the Laker lead to three with one quarter to go.

James scored 16 of the Lakers’ 30 fourth-quarter points to defeat the Nuggets.

The Nuggets’ star duo of Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray combined for 39 points. Jerami Grant poured in 20 points.

The Lakers will face the winner of the Eastern Conference Finals series between the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics. Heat currently lead the Celtics, 3-2.
