Tagum City, Davao del Norte has confirmed one new positive case of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19)
The city government said the latest confirmed case involved a local frontliner. The LGU also said the frontliner is asymptomatic and is currently isoloated in its Infectious Diseases Isolation Facility. Tagum’s contact tracing team is still investigating whether the case is a case of local transmission. The local government has not provided any other details regarding the patient.
This is the 51st Covid-19 case of the city. As of August 15, 2020, Tagum City has 18 active cases.
The city government continues to remind its residents to refrain from leaving their homes for non essential matters and to continuously observe the proper health protocols related to the pandemic such as wearing of face masks and regular disinfection. Rommel F. Lopez
