Tama ang graphic na nai-post sa Facebook na sinabi ng noo’y vice-presidential candidate na si Leni Robredo na mayroon lamang 1,700 isla ang Pilipinas sa “Ikaw Na Ba?” ng DZMM? segment na “quiz bee” noong 2016.
“Ilang isla ang bumubuo sa Philippine Archipelago? Hindi po 1,700 islands. Fact: The Philippines is an archipelago of 7,641 islands. It stretches from the South of China to the Northern Tip of Borneo,” sabi nito.
Nakalagay sa caption ng larawan, “Fact check, Liberal Party Chairman Robredo’s statement is false!”
Noong 2016, si Leni Robredo, na tumatakbo bilang bise presidente, ay nag-guest sa DZMM na “Ikaw Na Ba?” serye ng mga panayam bago ang halalan.
Tamang sinagot ni Robredo ang 14 sa 18 tanong sa loob ng 3 minutong segment.
Sa 2:37 mark ng episode na in-upload sa ABS-CBN News YouTube channel, nagtanong ang host na si Vic Lima, “Kung Luzon ang sumasakop sa isla sa bansa, ilang isla ang bumubuo sa Philippine Archipelago?”
Mali ang sagot ni Robredo—”1,700.”
Totoo rin na ang Pilipinas ay mayroong 7,641 na isla, batay sa resource website ng geography na World Atlas. Ang numerong ito ay nagmula sa isang ulat ng National Mapping and Resource Information.
