China will donate another batch of Covid-19 vaccine doses to the Philippines, President Rodrigo Duterte said on Thursday.
“China would give us another 400,[000] making their donation to this country 1 million,” he said during the inauguration of school buildings at the Canumay East National High School and Lawang Bato National High School in Valenzuela City.
The Philippines received 600,000 doses of Sinovac vaccines last Feb. 28, which were used to launch the country’s vaccination drive.
A shipment of 487,200 AstraZeneca vaccine doses is expected to arrive Thursday night.
Palace spokesman Harry Roque said on Wednesday that the first batch of government-procured doses would also arrive this month.
