The Department of Health – Davao Center for Health Development (DOH – DCHD) reports 20 new cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infections in the region bringing its total number of active cases to 453.
Of these new cases, eight are from Davao City, four each from Davao del Norte and Davao Oriental, and two each from Davao del Sur and Davao de Oro.
The DOH – DCHD added that from the new cases, one is a Locally Stranded Individual (LSI), 16 are for further verification, and 3 are local cases.
The region also posted 36 recoveries. Among these, 29 are from Davao City, two each from Davao del Norte Davao Occidental and Davao de Oro, and one from Davao del Sur.
A total of 425 persons were tested today by the region of which 27 tested positive for dreaded disease.
The DOH – DCHD, however, clarified that 7 of the 27 persons who tested positive were not from Davao region. These positive case will be reported under their respective regions. Rommel F. Lopez
