The British Council announced it will conduct the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Fair 2023 in four different cities in the country this March.
The IELTS Fair will be held at multiple locations in the country, led by the British Council, to help takers from all over the country have easy access to join and take advantage of the opportunity. It will happen from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the following places:
- March 4 – Ion Hotel, Baguio City
- March 11 – Quest Hotel, Cebu City
- March 18 – Crowne Plaza, Ortigas Centre
- March 25 – Pinnacle Hotel, Davao City
The IELTS is a globally-recognised English assessment that helps millions of people study, work, and live abroad. The British Council in the Philippines supports thousands of test takers annually.
Launched in 2016, the IELTS fair brings together review centers, academic facilities, immigration consultancies, and recruitment companies from the British Council’s partner organization.
“The British Council aims to help Filipinos take advantage of global opportunities that are very much available to them. Through events like the IELTS Fair, we provide tools and assistance to help as many people as we can to reach their goals,” said British Council’s Regional Exams Manager, Southeast Asia, Samantha Smith.
During the fair, subject matter experts from different educational agencies and recruitment companies will share best practices on how applicants can use IELTS to have opportunities outside the country.
Past test takers will also talk about their experiences and success stories, and experts will offer top tips to ace the four components of the exam.
“We’re thrilled to bring back the in-person IELTS Fair after two years – a perfect timing since we are also celebrating our 45th Anniversary this 2023. The British Council has always been committed to bridging possibilities between the UK and the Philippines, and IELTS has been one of the many ways that we are able to do that. We’re glad to support Filipinos through our work, and we are excited to do more in the years ahead,” shares British Council’s Country Director, Lotus Postrado.
