Phenomenal girl group won the Best Metaverse performance for “BLACKPINK The Virtual.”

The girl group also marked their US awards show debut performance with newly-released “Pink Venom.”

Lisa, the group’s main dancer and lead rapper, made history as the first solo K-pop artist who grabbed the 2022 MTV VMAs Best K-Pop trophy for her solo album “Lalisa.”

She bested other K-pop groups like BTS (“Yet to Come”), Seventeen (“Hot”), Twice (“The Feels”), Itzy (“Loco”), and Straykids (“Maniac”).

Other K-Pop groups also brought home a VMA trophy.  Boy bands Seventeen won Push Performance of the Year while BTS once again took home the Group of the Year award.
