The Supreme Court has decided to reschedule the bar examinations set for November this year to January to February 2022, Assoc. Justice Marvic Leonen said on Tuesday.
In a bar bulletin, Leonen said the bar exams scheduled for Nov. 7, 14, 21 and 28 have been moved to Jan. 16, 23, 30 and Feb. 6, 2022.
The Supreme Court made the decision after “considering the Covid-19 situation nationally and in all the testing sites, as well as receiving advice from various experts.”
The application period for the examinations will not be reopened, Leonen said.
“Treat this as an opportunity. Keep your momentum. Remember that you study not only to pass the Bar Examinations but also so that you will best serve others. Study well, purposively, and with passion,” Leonen said.
The country has yet to conduct bar exams since 2020, the year the Covid-19 pandemic broke out.
The November 2021 exam was supposed to accommodate those set to take the canceled 2020 exams. John Ezekiel J. Hirro
