In less than a week, separate anti-drug operations yielded eight suspected drug peddlers in different parts of the Bicol region.

In Camarines Sur, Wilson Felizmenio, 39, was caught in the act of selling three sachets of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) to an undercover government agent at his residence in Barangay San Juan, Baao town.

A few days later, Ariel Pontanar, 27, of Barangay Malitbog, Minalabac, was apprehended with three sachets of shabu while Felipe Masangcay alias Oca, 32, of Barangay San Cirilo was found to possess nine sachets of shabu.

In Camarines Norte, police operatives nailed down John Joseph Cabanella 21, for selling shabu but his brother Kevin, also suspected to be a drug pusher, escaped arrest.

Days after, Madonna Pla, 31, of Barangay III, Daet town was also caught selling shabu to an undercover government agent while Alexander Pajares, 35, of Mercedes town, was cornered with five sachets of shabu and a sachet of marijuana in his possession.

Meanwhile in Catanduanes, drug operatives nabbed Deo Allen Tapalla with two sachets of shabu in Virac town while Manny Dela Rosa, 42, was caught with a sachet of shabu in Caramoan town.

The drug operation collectively yielded at least twenty-six sachets of shabu and a sachet of marijuana. (Jojo Mangahis)
