A magnitude 6 earthquake that jolted parts of Mindanao has injured 16 people, according to the Office of Civil Defense (OCD).

An OCD bulletin showed 97 individuals were injured, while 52 structures and four houses were damaged by the quake in Davao de Oro.

Moreover, two incidents of earthquake-induced landslides were recorded.

No major interruption in communication, power, and roads were observed.

The OCD said that it has already offered assistance to affected communities. The search and rescue teams were also on standby.

The provincial governments of Davao del Norte and Davao de Oro canceled classes in all levels Thursday to make way for the inspection of schools buildings.

Classes resumed Friday.
