Kidapawan City – City health officials call on this city’s residents to cooperate in efforts to stop the spread of dengue as cases of infection continue to rise.
According to the latest city health data, 452 dengue cases have been recorded in the city since the start of the year compared to only 72 cases in the same period last year. This is a staggering 628% increase.
The city also has the highest number of dengues cases in the entire North Cotabato province according to the latest figures from the Department of Health.
The city is conducting a massive clean-up drive to wipe out possible breeding grounds of mosquitoes.
Residents are encouraged to follow the 4S campaign (Search and Destroy, Self Protection, Seek early consultation and Saying Yes to fogging operation) to prevent the spread of the disease.
