Allowing minors to go outside their residences in Metro Manila is up to each respective local government unit (LGU), the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) said on Friday.

Interior Undersecretary Epimaco Densing said in a DZBB interview that minors would “generally” be allowed to go outdoors.

“Generally, papayagan po iyan. So depende na po ‘yan sa NCR mayors,’’ Densing said.

Metro Manila will be under Alert Level 3 from Oct. 16 to 31.

Densing said mayors did not come up with a uniform policy as the local chief executives had opposing stands.
