The entire Philippines will be under the alert level system starting Nov. 22, Malacañang said on Saturday.

In a statement, acting Palace spokesman Karlo Nograles said the regions that were still under community quarantines would shift to the alert level system this Monday.

The following areas will be under Alert Level 2:

Benguet
Abra
Kalinga
Oriental Mindoro
Puerto Princesa
Marinduque
Romblon
Palawan
Occidental Mindoro
Butuan City
Surigao del Norte
Agusan del Sur
Surigao del Sur
Agusan del Norte
Basilan
Cotabato City
Tawi-Tawi
Lanao del Sur
Maguindanao

The following will be under Alert Level 3:

Apayao
Mountain Province
Ifugao
Dinagat Islands
Sulu

The alert level system replaced the community quarantines the government has been imposing to curb the spread of Covid-19 since last year.

The country, which has been seeing a downturn in its daily Covid-19 cases, has recorded 2,824,499 cases as of Nov. 20. John Ezekiel J. Hirro
