Maynilad Water Services Inc. said it has already finished its pipe realignment activities in Sobriedad, Manila and customers around the area can expect the resumption of water services.

Maynilad said in an online advisory that it finished the welding of the new cross-under pipe at 2 a.m. Water services resumed at around 4 p.m. Monday.

“Kasalukuyan nang pinapadaloy ang tubig sa nasabing pipeline, at patuloy na ang build-up ng water pressure sa pipe network,” the advisory read.

“Dahil dito, ang mga lugar na dapat ay makakaranas ng extended service interruption hanggang bukas ay magkakaroon na ng tubig ngayong araw, ayon sa kanilang original na schedule,” it added.

Customers were advised to let the water flow from their end to flush out any impurities or until they have clear water flowing from their faucets.

Maynilad also said that the low pressure to no water supply experienced in the portions of Brgys. BF Homes, Marcelo Green, San Antonio and Sucat, Paranaque Cit “may be experiencing is due to high demand at Putatan Water Treatment Plant.”  The water concessionaire said normal water pressure will resume at 1:00 am on November 2.

Maynilad had earlier announced the water service interruptions because of the flood control projects of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

The water service interruptions covered the cities of Las Piñas; Makati; Manila; Parañaque; Pasay; Bacoor; Cavite City; Imus; Kawit, Cavite; Noveleta, Cavite; and Rosario, Cavite. Ronald Espartinez
