President Rodrigo has named Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) President and CEO Vince Dizon as officer in charge of Clark Development Corp. (CDC).
Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea announced Dizon’s designation in a Dec. 3 memorandum made public on Thursday.
The CDC is a branch of the BCDA that handles projects at the Clark Freeport Zone. Dizon was part of the team that worked with the CDC to allow the conduct of the Philippine Basketball Association bubble, the first sports event in the country amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
Dizon is also the deputy chief implementer of the National Task Force Against COVID-19 and Duterte’s adviser on flagship programs and projects.
He takes over the position vacated by former transportation chief Jose de Jesus, who returned to the private sector.
Duterte appointed Dizon almost a month after tapping former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo as his adviser on Clark flagship programs and projects.
Although not a Pampanga native, Dizon spent most of his childhood in the province, which is also Arroyo’s hometown. John Ezekiel J. Hirro
