Senior citizens are allowed to go outside their residences and visit malls in areas under Alert Level 3, Malacañang said on Tuesday.

“Hindi natin binabawi iyong incentive na binigay natin sa seniors na kapag sila ay vaccinated e pupuwede silang pumunta sa mga malls at pupuwede silang lumabas ng bahay. Ganoon pa rin iyon,” Palace spokesman Harry Roque told a media briefing.

“Dalhin lang po iyong inyong VaxCertPH or iyong proof of vaccination at ipakita sa mga malls,” he added.

Roque said minors were still prohibited from entering malls.

Vaccination of minors in the Philippines is currently limited to Metro Manila.

The Philippines launched its pediatric vaccination program on Oct. 15.

At least 40,000 vaccinees aged 12 to 17 have registered for the program.

Metro Manila was downgraded to Alert Level 3 over the weekend, which led to the reopening of malls for the first time since the pandemic broke out. John Ezekiel J. Hirro
