Filipinos can now enter Taiwan without a visa as the country is expected to lift its suspension on visa-free travel for Pinoys on September 29.

Taiwan’s Bureau of Consular Affairs announced that the Philippines, as well as 10 other countries, would enjoy visa-free privileges as part of the island’s efforts to reopen the country.

Filipinos may enter Taiwan for 14 days without a visa. However, they are expected to follow its quarantine scheme, which involves quarantining for three days and self-monitoring for four days.

Starting September 29, travelers entering Taiwan can quarantine in a residence with other people as long as they have a separate room and bathroom.

This quarantine scheme will continue until October 13.

Moreover, travelers are no longer mandated to undergo RT-PCR testing upon arrival. Instead, they will be given four rapid antigen self-test kits beginning Sept. 29.
