TAGUM CITY, Davao del Norte – It has been a full month since the last time this city had a confirmed case of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

The city government happily announced this development over its Facebook page while reminding its citizens to do not let their guards down and still follow minimal health standards set by the government to ensure that the city remains COVID-19 free.

The city reported that it currently has 45 suspect cases.

The city is currently under General Community Quarantine since May 16.  However, the city strictly enforces its “New Normal protocols” by asking resident to stay at home and go out only when purchasing basic necessities and when going to work or in emergency cases.

Social distancing is still strictly enforced in public establishments like malls.  Hand sanitizers and foot wash were also mandated in entrances to establishments.  Face masks are a must for every resident leaving their homes. (Rommel F. Lopez)
