TAGUM CITY, Davao del Norte – The city government officially announced two more confirmed cases of COVID-19 today, June 6, 2020, bringing the total number of active cases in the city to three (3). The patients are residents of Barangay Visayan Village and Barangay Magugpo West.
The city clarified that the two cases came from the sweeper flights provided through the Balik Probinsya Program on May 26.
Yesterday, the city confirmed a positive case of 47 year old male resident of Barangay Visayan Village. He was in the same sweeper flight with the two new positive cases.
“We assure the public that they had been subjected to a mandatory quarantine since their arrival in the city last May 26, 2020,” the city announced on their official Facebook page.
The city continues to remind its residents to follow the minimum health protocols on social distancing, frequent handwashing, wearing of face masks, and reducing unnecessary travel to help slow the spread of the virus.
Tagum City, like most of the country, had been placed under Modified General Community Quarantine since June 1.
